How to use Just Click Skip
A quick guide to getting set up, adjusting how it works, and removing it if you ever need to. No account and no setup wizard required.
Getting started
Add it to your browser
Open the listing and choose Add to Firefox, then confirm the prompt your browser shows. Just Click Skip installs in a few seconds.
Finish the quick setup
After installing, a short setup screen appears. Make your choice about optional, anonymous usage data and continue. Skipping is ready to go right away.
Just watch
Open any supported site and start a video. When an ad or a long intro appears, Just Click Skip moves you past it automatically. There is nothing to click.
Using the toolbar popup
Click the Just Click Skip icon in your browser toolbar to open the popup. From here you can:
- Master switch: turn all skipping on or off in one click. When it is off, nothing is skipped anywhere until you turn it back on.
- Ads skipped and time saved: see a running total of how many ads were skipped and roughly how much time that saved you.
- Refresh Tab: reload the current page so a setting change takes effect immediately.
- Theme toggle: switch between light and dark using the button in the top corner. Dark is the default, and your choice is applied everywhere.
- Site Settings: open the full options page for per-site control.
Adjusting per-site settings
To change where skipping runs, open the popup and choose Site Settings. On the options page you can:
- Add or enable a site: turn a supported site's toggle on to let Just Click Skip work there. New installs have every supported site enabled by default.
- Edit behavior per site: leave the sites you want on and turn off any you would rather handle yourself. The master switch at the top still controls everything at once.
- Remove a site from skipping: turn a site's toggle off to stop skipping there while keeping it active everywhere else.
Changes take effect the next time the page loads, so use Refresh Tab in the popup if you want to see them right away.
Switching themes
Just Click Skip ships in dark mode. To change it, open the popup and click the theme toggle in the top corner. Your selection is saved and applied across the popup, the options page, and the setup screen, so the whole extension matches your preference.

Troubleshooting
If something is not working as expected, try these first:
- A skip is not happening: open the popup and use Refresh Tab so the page reloads with skipping active.
- Nothing is being skipped anywhere: check that the master switch in the popup is on.
- One site is not skipping: open Site Settings and confirm that site's toggle is enabled.
- A change did not take effect: settings stay in sync across the popup and options page, but a page already open may need a Refresh Tab.
